Video: Jamie Foxx -

Jamie Foxx has famous friends. You could probably have guessed this, but he's not so ssure you could. So he's got Jake Gyllenhaal, Sam Jackson, Forest Whitaker, Ron Howard(?) and many others to cameo in his latest clip. Happy Days.

Video: Camron - Get it in Ohio

The other week I gave you 'I hate my job', a little tease that Camron gave us to say he's back, and he has a new album ready to unload. Cam's been unseen, and the reason is because his mum got sick and he went down to Florida and looked after her. Now he is definitely back in town, not sure if he's still pushing the purple haze or rocking pink polo's, but as long as he dropping verses, I don't really care. Viva la Cam.

Stream: Congorock - Runark

Via TheFader, this track revisits the best thing about the early 90's. I'm not exactly sure what that is, but I do know it's in this song. Live it, Love it, run it like Chris Brown if ya have to.

Video: Young Jeezy - Circulate

Young Jeezy has had a good year, by any standard. After crushing it both critically and commercially with the behemoth 'Put on' single with Kanye, he rode Obama's coattails (or was it the other way around) to the top again with 'My President', which Nas also co-opted.
Here he is with another surprisingly upbeat track from The Recession. This one's called Circulate.

Video: Busta Rhymes - Arab Money Remix

Busta Rhymes has collated some pretty well known friends over the years for his rolodex, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that he's got most of those friends to appear in this remix. Diddy, Lil Wayne, T.I., heck even Cedric the Entertainer is here!

Here's Kanye's somewhat raunchy verse from Maybach Music 2, a remix of Rick Ross's latest mc-baiting single. It's an accapella from TRL where he performed with Kid Cudi.

Video: Royskopp - Happy here

Royskopp have been around for forever and a day, and the reason they've lasted is because of their ability to law down ridiculously addictive groove after groove. Here is the elliptical clip (say that 10 times fast) to Happy Here, their light and summery latest single.

Download: Phoenix - 1901

Do you know Phoenix? The suave french soft rockers with the silky synths and the bouncy basslines? Do you remember Scarlett Johansson dancing seductively to 'too young' in Lost in Translation? Or how about how most of the tracks off their last album kicked ass? Or how about how their new single is called '1901' and is available for free download from their own website?

Video: White White Baby - Jim Carrey

A classic skit from the early days of one Jim Carrey, back when he was 'the token white guy' on In Living Colour. He parodies Vanilla Ice to a 't' here.

Video: Kid Cudi - Day 'N' Nite

Kid Cudi has been bubbling for a minute now, from getting arrested at the NBA AllStar weekend last week, to releasing the excellent 'Can I be' last week (which samples LCD Soundsystem's Someone Great).
How did he get here? Well, it could have been because of his guest appearance on Kanye's album (vocals on Welcome to Heartbreak), but more likely because of this single. It's been out for ages now, and even the Crookers remix has entered the UK top 10, so it seems a little late to come with a crazy So Me (Justice, Kanye's Good Life)directed video. That said, the video kicks ass, and the song is still hauntingly good. I just wished this vid was released sometime around November last year. Remember back then, ah those were the days...

Video: Cut Copy - Short doco plus live clip

I saw Cut Copy at the Big Day Out a couple weeks ago, and was very impressed with how they managed to do the live thing with only four key members, and still keep the production value from their acclaimed album In Ghost Colours intact. To get an idea of how difficult a task that was, peep the flick below.

Stream: Two Fingers feat. Sway - What you know

Two Fingers is the moniker adopted by Amon Tobin and Joe 'Double Click' Chapman. The song features UK grime artist Sway, who released his debut album to great acclaim a couple of years back, only to lose much of that goodwill with his disappointing follow-up. This song however, is hard, sparse and industrial, and Sway's introspective lyrics stand over it like a father dictating terms to a clueless child.

Awesome of the day (possibly week) - Colbert vs Conan - Dance off

When I said Dancing with the Stars in the last post, I was actually thinking of these two guys. Check out the allstar late night hosts dancing it off on Conan's show. Conan leaves his show this week to take over Jay Leno's spot, and it was nice to see him share the spotlight with Comedy Central's super stud Colbert.

Dancing with the Stars US - Latest Cast announced

The latest series of Dancing with the stars USA has been announced, and I'm really struggling to work out how you can still call these guys stars. The group includes rapper Lil' Kim, "Jackass" Steve-O, '80s music queen Belinda Carlisle and retired NFL footballer Lawrence Taylor. Most of you probably don't even know who Belinda Carlisle is, let alone some old school NFL player. Anyway, Im sure it'll be entertaining to some one. Wake me up when it's done.

Video: 100 Dances in 100 days

This is pretty awesome. Ely Kim, a Yale Grad and design artist has created this vid which is him in 100 days in 100 locations, doing 100 dances to 100 songs! Thanks to theFader for the pick up on this one.

Pixelated Kanye's abound in this Nabil directed video for 'Welcome to Heartbreak' from 808's and Heartbreaks. The clip expands on the disparate themes of the bass heavy track, creating a vision of cascading personalities and the loneliness of being at the top.

Video: Fever Ray, "When I Grow Up"

Fever Ray is the solo moniker of Karin Dreijer from the Knife, a group who has received wide critical acclaim the last few years for outstanding tracks such as 'We Share our Mothers Health' and 'Silent Shout', not to mention 'Heartbeats' (which was subsequently covered by Jose Gonzalez and used in the first Sony Bravia commercial).

Anyway, Fever Ray is the solo project, and this is the weird clip to her second single 'When I grow up'.

VIDEO: Shaq and the Jabbawockeez

Shaquille O'Neal is a massive dude. He plays basketball for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. He was at the annual All-Star game this weekend, and thought it would be an opportune time to show off his considerable dance skills. See the result below...

The Top 20 strutted their stuff last night for the first time in front of the live crowd. Here's a taste of what you missed if you didn't catch it.

Video: The Presets: "If I Know You"

The Presets were big last year here in Australia. They also spread their new wave wings across the seas and influenced the overseas markets from LA to London. This video (courtesy of Pitchforktv) is directed by Eva Husson and is set in LA.

Video: Capone and Noreaga - Rotate (feat. Ron Browz & Busta Rhymes)

The SuperThug is back! Noreaga, onetime Superthug and sometime vegan, is back in the game with his old friend Capone. The two buzzed in the mid 90's as CNN, before Capone went behind bars for a few years.
Nore went on to release Superthug with the up and coming Neptunes, and the rest is history. Now, after a bit of a hiatus, and some odd youtube video's, Nore is back with the help of producer-of-te-moment Ron Browz (he of Pop Champagne and Arab Money).

Rihanna, Chris Brown and Charles Hamilton??

(via theFader) Hey dudes, its been a depressing week in terms of bushfires and the like, and then Chris Brown goes all domestic on Rihanna. WTF bro? Everybody is kinda shocked about this, especially up-and-coming rapper Charles Hamilton, who had this to say on his blog.

But f*ck that. It's my GIRL we talkin about... to quote Ne-Yo, "Ehbahdy knoe dah maahne!!!!". I was in the studio, FUMING mad. And that's before the Hennessey kicked in. Rihanna, wherever you are, my prayers are with you, and my skinny, short ass is gon hold you down if need be. Chris, your mother. February 13th, Rihanna. I will say all that I couldn't say at that Gucci event... holla back...

Is Hamilton gonna make a play for the Girl gone bad, or will Miss Umbrella run back into the arms of her abusing beau? Time will tell.

XOXO Gossip Girl

Video: The Dream - Rockin that thang

Yes he is.

Video: T.I. and Justin Timberlake - Dead and Gone

Here is T.I. and some dude name Justin Timberlakes at the Grammy's. It was another depressing year for anybody that loves music enough to know that Jennifer Hudson shouldn't be winning music awards. This is far from my favourite song on 'Paper Trail', and it packs less punch than Chris Brown, but it's still a welcome distraction from the actual awards.

Full interview with Lil Wayne

Love him or hate him, Lil Wayne makes great copy. Here is the FULL interview of Weezy with Katie Couric (whom he politely calls 'Miss K'). He is one of a kind, even if we're not sure what kind! Phone home!

Video: Peter Bjorn and John, "Nothing To Worry About"

I am posting this because a) Peter, Bjorn and John don't get enough press these days and b) the video is freakin awesome. Straight out of Harajuku in Tokyo rather than Compton, these leather bound greasers show you how it's done, rockabilly styley.

Download: Simian Mobile Disco - Upside Down

Simian Mobile Disco had a hit in 2005 with We Are Your Friends, it was great. Then they had a hit album in 2007 called Attack Sustain Decay Release, it too was great. They played the Adelaide Big Day Out last Friday, and lo and behold, it was great. Pulsing, throbbing dance music that forced you to dance or move out the way. Now we have this track, it is great.

Video: Camron - I Hate my Job

I tried to post this yesterday, but couldn't find an embeddable clip! Never mind. So, here we have Camron. He was big a couple years back. I mean like Ja Rule big, uh, on second thoughts, he was T.I. big. He rocked Pink polo's and massive diamond earrings and nobody said anything. He dropped Purple Haze, his Rocafella opus that should have put him on the gravy train. Fast track to 2009 and like most of his peers, Cam is feeling the pinch, and hatin his job. He's spent the last year beefing with former squad members, and embarrassingly seen them go on to bigger things. This is a good track, and if Cam keeps pointing himself in the right direction, maybe he can return to the top where he belongs. Or at least in Kanye Wests Top 25 Myspace Friends.

So you think you can dance Australia - Episode 1

Episode 1 of Season 2 aired last night, with the judges introducing themselves, followed by a rundown of the Sydney auditions. There were some great and entertaining dancers, and they were accompanied by the usual OTT histrionics from the producers. Does every great performance have to be followed by leading questions, then tears, then a three piece orchestra for more emotion? No, SYTYCD is the only reality tv show I watch, and that is because the dancers don't really have much to dance for, except the chance the learn and become better dancers, and you have to appreciate that.
