Video: LCD Soundsystem - Drunk Girls (Holy Ghost Remix)

This track already has a video, but since it's been remixed, why not make another?

Video: Actress Tilda Swinton Flash Mob in Scotland

You know a trend is on the downward slide when Oscar winners are pimping it in Scotland (no offense my scottish lassies).  It is for charity, which makes it excusable, if not watchable.  Btw, has anyone noticed Tilda's resemblance of our new Prime Minister Julia Gillard?  Hmmm...

Video: Dr. Pepper Cherry You-tube dance studio contest - MegaSuperamazing

Dr Pepper are running a You-tube dance comp, so I figured I'll cherry-pick a few of the more impressive entries over the next few days.  Straight from the mutha-effin streetz y'all.

Video: Legion of Extroadinary Dancers

The first episode of the Legion's Webisodes hits the tubes on July 7 at the LXD website.  Ther team was put together by the director of Step Up 2, John Chu.  The idea is based in the comic super-heroes of the same name, and millions of bucks and some talented choreographers and dancers bring Chu's vision to the web in mind-blowing fashion.  Bookmark the link and mark the date on your calendar.

Blog: Robyn's favourite music video's of all time

Robyn is one of Pure Funk's favouritist friends (yes, favouritist is a word), and the release of her new album is all the cause we need to release a tidal wave of Robyn media on all your asses.  Here Robyn list her Top 10 favourite music video's, and they all old school, stone cold classic tunes.

Also, check out Body Talk Pt.1, available at all good online stores.  It's a genuine contender for album of the year, in my humble opinion.

Video: More Dancing Robots!

For some reason, I can't get enough of the dancing robots. Any size, shape or form, it doesn't matter, I love 'em. These dudes are like the Jabbawockeez of the robot dance crew world, and now you can see why...

Video: Crystal Castles: "Celestica"

Celestica is the oddly beautiful first single from the stellar self-titled second album from Crystal Castles. The video too is oddly beautiful, featuring CC's Alice and Ethan, a nice-looking cemetary and bunch of instrument wielding children.

Video: SYTYCD7 TOP 11 ALEX & ALISON - HALLELUJAH (Contemporary)

As you know, Season 7 of So You Think You can dance USA has started, and the stars and contestants are already creating some classic routines.  Alex Wong and former contestant Allison Holker pulled out a contemporary routine to Jeff Buckly's Hallelujah that left the judges speechless and Wong in tears.  Okay, so maybe it was just snot coming out of his nose but it was beautiful goddammit!!  The routine, not the snot.

Stream: The Roots - How I Got Over (New Album)

The new album by Hip-Hop's best live band 'The Roots', is streaming right now on their Myspace page.

This also gives me a rare opportunity to shine the light on The Roots legendary guitarist 'Captain' Kirk Douglas.  Check him out.

Video: Flash Mob to keep Lebron James in Cleveland

Kids are now flash mobbing in Cleveland to keep Lebron James from leaving the Cavaliers.  If that's not a sign of the coming apocalypse, I don't know what is.

Dancing to keep LeBron James in Cleveland

Video: Freakishly awesome Brazilian Dancing Baby!

Yep, this a little freaky, and possibly not real.  Can I be serious and say that that baby is in fact a dancing freak with freakish booty shaking skills... no, I cannot.  Or maybe I can.  Damn you, freakishly awesome Brazilian dance baby!

Video: Justin Bieber - Somebody to Love (feat Usher)

I'll be honest up front; I'm not a Bieber fan, and I've never had Bieber fever.  With that in mind, it may seem like I'm hatin' on the young fella when I say that he can't dance, but I back that up by saying 'watch the video'.  Granted, you never see him dance for any more than a second or two, but it's enough to say that I didn't want to see any more, and bringing in Usher as your dance partner is not the best way to make yourself look good.  I'm just sayin.

Video: Big Boi - General Patton

We too spoiled!  Big Boi, fresh off dishing up the spazzed out video for 'Shutterbug', has come through with another for the triumphant 'General Patton'.  This track sounds massive, like it could start an earthquake, and the low budget video brings the tracks majesty to life through the art of ten pin bowling.

Video: Gorillaz - On Meloncholy Hill

One of the best tracks off the recent Plastic Beach album gets a video, with animated cameo's from Lou Reed, De La Soul, Snoop Dogg and others.

Video: A Tribe Called Quest touring Australia

A Tribe Called Quest are Hip Hop legends.  A part of Hip Hop's golden age in the early 90's, they disbanded in the late 90's and the member went off to pursue solo careers.  Seems this influential posse is touring our fair shores later this year, so if you've been fiending for some tried and true Hip Hop, without the B.S., then be sure to check the rhyme of Tribe

Blog: The Finalists for Season 7 of So you think you can Dance

Just to bring you up to speed on the latest season (7) of US So You Think You Can Dance, here's a run down of the finalists.

Video: Shakira teaching Soweto kids how to shake what their mother gave them

Possibly as Community Service for releasing the latest in a string of awful World Cup theme songs, Shakira turned up a school in Soweto, South Africa, to teach the kids there how to 'waka waka', and no, that's not what you think it is ;)

Video: Justice Crew on Australia's Got Talent

Even your mum's seen this, but it would be remiss of me not to post it again here.  I thought it was a pretty good routine, very good for an Australian team.  If I had to pick faults, and I will, there was a little too much cheer-leading; although it was for tv, so concessions have to be made for the sake of entertainment, which I hope was the reason.  The tricks were great, though from a purists point of view I would've liked to have seen more dancing.  All in all, it was pretty tight, if a bit lacking in substance.

Video: Kanye West joins Jay-Z at Isle of Wight

For all those asking 'Where are you Yeezy?', here's your answer. The last six months have seen Jay-Z do multiple laps of honor in support of his Blueprint 3 opus, whilst Kanyeezy has been holed up in Hawaii working on his comeback album 'Good Ass Job'.
So it was a bit of a surprise that Ye popped up with Jay to run through a rendition of Run This Town, in the Isle of Wight of all places.  But, that shit did happen, and the proof is below.

Video: Lady Gaga - Alejandro

New Gaga.  Is it OTP?  You decide.

Video: Ice Cude and The Roots perform NWA's Straight Outta Compton on Fallon

Former NWA and solo rap star Ice Cube turned up at Jimmy Fallon's late show a few weeks back and decided to go old school during the warm-up's, pulling out a classic from his former group.  The Root's, Hip Hop's (and the world's) premier band, pulled out a ripping rendition.

Video: Tom Cruise and J-Lo dance @ the 2010 MTV Movie Awards

So, Tom Cruise was in full Les Grossman regalia at the MTV Movie Awards and whooped it up like any self-respecting 47 year old shouldn't be able to.  Dude ended with the splits.  The Splits.  Oh, and I think J-Lo was there too, trying real hard to make us remember how popular she was in 2002.

Video: Tap Dogs returning to Australia for lightning tour

Yes, the world conquering boot tapping crew will be back on Australian shores and it would be wise to catch them as they may not be back for while.  Check their video announcement HERE

Video: Kylie Minogue Live with New Songs!

The good folks over at popjustice.com, have just posted some live Kylie Minogue, and guess what?  It features her new single 'All My Lovers' and several new album tracks!  Not too sure what I think about the half naked dancers though, a little too girls night out for me.

Stream: Big Boi - General Patton

The amount of quality material that's out there from Big Boi's new album Sir Lucious Leftfoot - Son of Chico Dusty is getting embarrassing. Listen to the new Big Boi banger over at Its a Rap.

Video: T.I. - Yeah you know

T.I. is back as you know, and he has acknowledged that fact in the title of his new song 'Yeah you know'.  It also acts a faux trailer to his new film with Idris Elba 'Takers'.

Video: Diddy and Aziz Ansari in'Smoothest Man of the Year'

Our favourite comedian and our favourite celebrity mogul face off in the battle for Smoothest Man of the Year.  Does Aziz really have what it takes to out smooth Diddy?  You'll have to watch to find out...

Video: Adidas remake Star Wars Cantina Scene with Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg and more

This a departure from the typical Pure Funk fare, but it's hilarious and topical.  A lot of people may not remember the scene from Star Wars, but will identify with it's 'new' cast - The Robotic bobbleheads that are Daft Punk, David Beckham, a light-sabre toting Snoop Dogg and weirdly, Noel Gallagher and Ian Brown.  Bizarre, funny and on-point.

Video: So You Think You Can Dance Season 7 - Episode 2

The second episode is out there, and they're taking their sweet time sending people to Las Vegas. Just get on with it already! Out of the two hour show, there were some nuggets, you just have to wade through the crap to find them. Enjoy.

Video: Conan O'Brien, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart in a dance-off

Late night talk show legend Conan O'brien was in New York recently as part of his new tour, and Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart stopped by... to battle.
