Video: Busta Rhymes - I got Bass

Here's Busta Rhymes going a little woo-hah in his new video for speaker blowing 'I got Bass'. Check the Chuck D vocal sample in the chorus, still loud as a bomb!

The Pitchfork 500

The Pitchfork 500, which is pitchforkmedia.com's guide to the best songs between 1977-2006, is out now. I have two copies, just in case you wondering (great christmas gift for audibly handicapped).
You should check it out. Here is a snippet about the Nas classic 'It ain't hard to tell' from his seminal debut 'Illmatic'.

Video: Kanye on Conan - Heartless

First post today is an easy one for me, embedding a pitchfork found vid of Kanye doing his Heartless thing on Conan O'Brien. If you haven't already done so, go buy the album. It's worth purchasing even just for the three track patch of gold in the middle of the album (Paranoid, Robocop, Streetlights).

DJ Atrak new website (sort of)

Globetrotting DJ A-Trak, the multiple world DMC champion and Kanye clique member, has restored his website djatrak.com in a big way. He's sharpened it down into blog form, and yet has still been to keep posts from 4 years ago. Woohay! Anyway here's a youtube from his site featuring ATrak and Mr West comparing beards.

Kanye West - Sky High Remix Mixtape with Plain Pat, DJ Benzi & others

DJ Benzi, who be responsible for some memorable mixtapes, including those by the Clipse, has a new one on the way - and it's commissioned by Kanye hisself.
Featured new and older remixes of West tracks, it also features Diplo, A-Trak and others. Check out the Imeem stream at Pitchfork, then check at DJ Benzi's website tomorrow for the download.
It's what the avatar crowd would call 'straight fire'.

Beyonce and friends on SNL

Every man and his package have probably seen this by now, but net law will not allow me to avoid this post. Enjoy again.

I take a day off and another 1/3 of Ye's album leaks out. I should expect this by now. I'm thanking Pitchfork for the latest round-up, the first part of which comes straight from Mr West's blog itself.

DJ A-Trak - Even World-Class DJ's have hardware problems!

If you're wondering what you're looking at, it's DJ A-Trak's fried external drive. Kanye's Tour DJ and Producer for Kanye, Kid Sister and others, A-Trak tours the gigging, building tracks and generally burning through laptops like we normal people go through socks.

His recent woes with Hard Drives were briefly mentioned in his entertaining 'aorund the world' diary at Fader.com that you can read here. In the last couple of days he expands on his recent laptop woes, which you can read about here

Download: Justin TImberlake: Magic (New Song)

Pitchfork has linked a new song by JT entitled 'Magic', where it came from and what it is, no-one's quite sure. What they are sure of, is that it's good.

Kanye's Good Morning Bear: Halloween in D.C.

Kanye has been posting kanye-themed Halloween costumes on his blog, and this one is particularly cool (and almost cute).
