Video: The Chalk

Lebron has a lot to answer for.

Video: Lil Wayne feat. Bobby Valentino - Mrs. Officer/Comfortable

Weez and Bobby V do the "wee-oo wee-oo" police siren on their latest video, and damn now that's stuck in my head! At least it's moved Kanye's Heartless, which has been lodged there all week. I'm currently deciding whether I should front up the $500 it will cost to go interstate to the Kanye/Nas show in Sydney. Mmmm, me thinks that's a yes.

Video: Ryan Leslie - Just Right (new song in the studio)

For gods sake, when will they release this guys album?! Dude's been waiting since 2003 (it says so on his blog). Anyways, RLes has put up a new studio outtake, which showcase once again his unbridled passion and energy (his words not mine), and in this time of show-up-and-record-my-vocals diva's, it's nice to know there's still a few DIY artists out there.

I should start paying the fader royalties! Bour time we heard from Rich Boy and his uber prducer Polow da Don. They're also shouting something on the track about paying your mortgage for a year if you win a competition... at least they're not advertising ring-tones.

Video: E-40 - Poor Man's Hydraulics

So sick it's ill video from Mr Bay area himself E-40. Some awesome dancers and hydraulics on display.

Download: Ron Browz - Jumpin out the window

The Fader already dished out the crazy Dream/Lil Jon collabo today, and now they have another banger, this time courtesy of Harlemite Ron Browz. Browz love his Auto-tune too.

Download: The Dream feat. Lil Jon - Booty

The Dream has found Lil Jon and dragged him out from where he was hiding to record this poppin new track that will be available on The Dream's new album Love & Money. Damn, this has got me fiendin' for some of that ole '04 crunk!

Stream: Kanye West - Coldest Winter (Better Quality)

Here's a much, much better rip of one of the three Kanye tracks makin the rounds (although there is also another radio rip called 'Robocop' also around). This one is however, 'Coldest Winter', about kanye's late mother and it's pretty bleak. It too sounds gorgeous, but we are still wondering if the album will leave us Auto-tuned out. So far Ye's proving us wrong, lets hope he keeps it up.

Video: Craig David feat Tinchy Stryder - Where's Your Love

A welcome return to form, and to his roots for Craig David, who's music has been sliding into sappy MOR territory in last few years.

Stream: We Fight Love - Q-Tip feat Raphael Saadiq

Two guys attempting comebacks. One is Raphael Saadiq, who's currently enjoying success with solo success with an album of solid 60's throwbacks, and the other, former Tribe Called Quester Q-Tip, who hasn't enjoyed solo success since 'Amplified'.

Download: Amerie - Memory

I am back. I know I said I was back last week, but that was only in the physical form. It's taken me a week to process everything that happened in Japan, but now I am officially ready to continue. And what a way to come back (cue the LL Cool J). I love Amerie, she picks up where Aaliyah (RIP) left off, with her ethereal voice and mysterious personality. She was almost pegged as a one-hit wonder (after almost not getting signed at all) with 'One thing', but once again she shows that she knows how to find the good tracks. Produced by Bad Boy.

Pure Funk in Japan

That's right. If you've been wondering where I have been the last three to four weeks, it's been in Japan. Kirsten was dancing at the Broadway Dance Center in Tokyo, and I went over to meet her. Needless to say, we had a great time over there, but now I'm back and it's back to a new and improved blogging experience.
