Video: Dance of the christmas robots

I get some weird stuff pop into my inbox from time to time (don't ask), but this was one I couldn't pass up. I'm a sucker for choregraphed robots at the best of times, but these ones, oh man, they had frickin lights on them!! Coloured lights!! Woah.

Video: Pop Locker

This guy is awesome, he's like a flexible sausage with arms. Spaghetti arms.

Video: Russian President Vladmir Putin gives it up for Breakdancing

Vladmir Putin cracks me up. He is obviously going through some mid-life crisis. First it was the half naked portrait shots of him hunting in the forest, and now, he's paying respect to breakdancers by appearing on Russia's premier battle dance show. C'mon, he's from Russia! I bet our prime minister doesn't even know what the moonwalk is!

Video: Janet Jackson Flashmob

It's nice to see Janet Jackson is back in the news, and it had nothing to do with her cleavage. Organised flash mobs performed at the Grove in LA in honour of the release of Janet's Number One's album tomorrow. Good to see she wasn't just trying to cash in on the success of Michael's movie...

Video: Little dude dancing

I was just saying to myself ;there's not enough little kids dancin', and then voila, this falls into my inbox. Go little son!

Video: Dubstep dancers

Dubstep, for those who don't know, is a descendent of early century styles 2-step and garage, but is so far removed from them as to be undanceable to. Well that's what I thought, but it appears I'm mistaken.

Here's a couple of video's, and I can't work out if they're taking the piss or really getting down!

Our first bro is an overweight gentleman who can't really move those fists, whilst in the other a couple of suited bro's show-off their subtitled footwork.

Video - We Were Once a FairyTale

Here's the Spike Jonze/Kanye West short film 'We Were Once a FairyTale'. It's as weird as promised, pushing the boundaries as usual. A little NSFW, for those who offend easily.

Video - Dance-off between Mr Bean and Michael Jackson

Have you ever wondered who would win a dance-off between Mr Bean and Michael Jackson? Yeah, me too! Wonder no more as Patrick Boivin has created the dance off they said would never happen, out of toys!

Some of you are screaming 'where's the relevance', but watch this video about three quarters through and you'll see why it's a perfect fit for this blog. Even without that I probably would've posted it anyway, because it's GD funny, and a lot of it I hadn't or couldn't recall seeing.

Video: Single Ladies Dancing Baby

I'm not usually one for bandwagoning viral video's... ah who am I kidding, here's a New Zealand baby dancing to Single Ladies.

Video: Kanye protests at the VMA's

God knows what possessed Kanye to jump on stage whilst country/pop songstress Taylor Swift was accepting the MTV award for best video (probably alcohol).

However, some quick thinking youtubers have reappropriated the moment already, and Taylor seems to have the support of the president. Check this out.

Video: The Skeleton Dance - Vintage Disney

One for the vintage minded, The Skeleton Dance is a 1929 Disney flick that was developed by Ub Iwerks, who some say was the true creator of Mickey Mouse. Enjoy.

Video: Jerkin' - The Movie

You may or may not be familiar with 'Jerkin', a somewhat new dance style that combines the best elements of the Charleston, hip-hop, and some riverdance-eque leaps with the staple 80's 'glow-in-the-dark' wardrobe. It's the type of fashion inspired Hip-Hop that's been shepherded through by artists like Kanye, Wale and The Cool Kids.

Now there's a movie in the works. I reckon the fad will be over by the time the movie comes out, but go ahead, show em what you got. Here's prep video to give you an idea what to expect.
